Gigue Care Guide

A wardrobe to cherish

At Gigue, we believe that timeless pieces are not just chosen, but cherished. Our collections are designed with luxurious materials and clean silhouettes; made to be worn season after season. Proper care extends the life of each garment and preserves the look and feel envisioned by our designer, Audrey Wyckmans.

Discover here how to maintain your wardrobe with love and craftsmanship: knitwear, wardrobe pieces and denim.

Knitwear Care Guide – Softness in Every Fiber

Knitwear is one of the most beloved categories within the Gigue collection. Soft bouclé, fine wool blends, and luxurious cashmere deserve care that's as refined as the design.

Our tips:
1. Wash on a gentle wool cycle or by hand in cold water.

2. Dry flat – roll in a towel, then dry flat.

3. Remove pills – use a soft comb or pill clipper.

4. Storage – always fold, never hang.

5. Let it breathe – airing out between wears is often enough.

Wardrobe Care Guide - Maintaining Clean Lines

Our ready-to-wear pieces—from iconic blouses to perfectly tailored jackets—owe their elegance to pure lines and refined fabrics. To preserve this quality, they require careful care.

Our tips:

1. Wash or dry clean according to the care label - Always follow the washing instructions. For delicate fabrics like silk or viscose, we recommend dry cleaning or a delicate cycle.

2. Iron with care - Use a low temperature and a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics.

3. Store correctly - Hang blouses and jackets on sturdy hangers to maintain their shape. Close buttons and zippers to avoid tension.

4. Airing for freshness - Often just airing it out is enough to wear a blouse or jacket again without washing it.

Denim Care Guide – Iconic fabrics, timeless shapes

Denim is an essential part of the Gigue wardrobe. From straight fits to relaxed silhouettes, these pieces are designed to last. Careful care extends their life and preserves their deep color.

Our tips:

1. Wash less often - Denim doesn't need to be washed after every wear. A quick airing is often sufficient.

2. Cold wash - Wash inside out, on a low temperature, with a mild detergent. This will help the fabric retain its color and texture.

3. Don't tumble dry - Let jeans air dry. This prevents shrinkage and maintains the fit.

4. Storage - Fold jeans neatly or hang them by the waistband to avoid wrinkles.

5. Developing Character - Over time, denim develops a personal patina – a sign of authenticity and quality.

Finally

At Gigue, it's not just about design, but also about longevity. By caring for your garments with care, you contribute to slow fashion; a wardrobe that's stylish not just today, but also tomorrow.
